(Please note, this is not our postal address).

It is easy to get to by car and there is plenty of parking in the adjacent Car Park, free after 6p.m.

When do we meet?

We meet every Thursday evening from 7:30pm until 9:30pm including a break for a cuppa in the middle.

There is also an early session from 6:30pm for those who can attend - the same music just a bit of extra practice!

Term dates for 2025

Summer Term:  24th April - 31st July
Autumn Term:   28th August - 11th December

What do we play?

The band has a wide range of music in its repertoire and we play something to appeal to a
wide range of tastes, including marches, fanfares, medleys, classics, television themes, film
scores, West-end shows etc.. The list is extensive and we are adding to it all the time.
The music we play is of varied technical standard, so that there is plenty of enjoyment and
challenge for the beginner and experienced musician alike. We encourage our members and
friends to suggest new pieces.

Why not have a look through our library to see what music we have.

Joining the band

We're often approached by musicians asking if they can join the band and we welcome musicians of all ages and standards. Of course, we have to consider band size and balance so please look below for details of any vacancies in the Littlehampton Concert Band.
We aim to perform music in the ‘Medium’ range of difficulty, typically with concert-band grades of between 2.5 and 4.5. Whilst there is no minimum standard or qualification required to join, as a guide, players would need to be of a level at least equivalent to ABRSM grade 4 (ideally grade 5 or above) to cope with the demands of the music.

We perform a number of concerts each year and members are expected to conform to the Band dress code for these events.

Current vacancies (5th June 2025):
  • Bass Trombone
  • Percussion

How much does it cost?

In common with all community bands we have a subscription, payable every term. This
covers rent of the rehearsal venue, insurance and other costs. Current subscriptions are:
  • Individual membership for over 18's = £30 per term / £7.50 per month
