Introduction

Littlehampton Concert Band is a community band based in Littlehampton and drawing on players from the town and the surrounding area. The band is well-known for making music fun and consequently is popular with loyal audiences at its own concerts and in demand to play at many events in and around West Sussex.

The key to the band's achievement is the fun and engaging approach that it has towards music. Players of all abilities are welcome to join and the only thing expected of members is that they try their best and have fun. As a result, the band has a wide variety of members of all ages and abilities. More-experienced musicians get to try some challenging music and the less experienced members have a great time developing their skills and learning from their colleagues.

We arrange occasional music weekends around the country, just for fun. Recent venues have been Bournemouth, Shanklin and Weymouth. In the last few years, the band has been invited to perform in several countries across the Channel and had a good time doing so.

The band also enjoys an active social programme, with regular events such as bowling, meals out, trips to musicals and parties. This makes for a great atmosphere and promotes a sense of community spirit.
