Massed Bands Extravaganza
What a brilliant evening? The Massed Bands Extravaganza 2008 was a great success and all 3 bands did themselves proud once again. A 500 strong audience enjoyed a variety of music from each band in the first half but it was the second half which really made an impact with the 3 bands joining together once again to create that unique Massed Band sound.
The massed items started with a bang with the powerful Mars from the Planets suite. And with other popular numbers like 633 Squadron, Oregon and a James Bond suite, the crowd were clapping and cheering enthusiastically. So popular is this concert now that the 2009 Massed Band Extravaganza has already been booked so keep an eye on this website for more details nearer the time.
