Welcome to our website
This is the website of the world famous Littlehampton Concert Band. We are a community focused concert band based in West Sussex on the south coast of England.
The aim of our website is to provide all the background information you could ever need about the band as well as providing regular updates about forthcoming concerts and events.
You'll also find samples of the band, media cuttings and photos so there is plenty to see on the site. And if you have any feedback, feel free to get in touch.

20th Birthday Concert - Tickets going fast
To celebrate our 20th Birthday, we're throwing a party and, as anyone who has been to one of our parties before will know, we do it in style. Get your tickets soon though as they are going very fast.
Alternatively, to guarantee a place, you or your business can sponsor a tune for £15. You'll get 2 tickets and your name in the programme. This is to help us cover the costs of the hall but again, there are limited slots available and many have already been filled.
There will be music all night, food, bar, raffle, prizes, birthday cake - wow, all in one evening. There is a catch though! Even though it's free, tickets are extremely limited so if you would like to come go to the Birthday Concert page where you will find details of how to get in touch.
Spring Concert A Great Success
Our second charity concert of 2008 was another great success for the band and helped to raise over £500 for the local HomeLink Charity. The audience at St Mary's Church in Littlehampton did a great job for the charity and got to enjoy a light hearted evening of music.
The band was joined by excellent local singer Julie Le Manquais who sang songs from West Side Story as well as Summertime from Porgy & Bess and, fittingly, Come Follow the Band for which she donned the band's traditional waistcoat and hat.
Music from the band included medleys from James Bond, Anastasia and Starlight Express and there was even a paso doble entitled Vamos a la Fiesta which had everyone's feet tapping. Pictures and hopefully a review in the paper will be on this site shortly so watch this space.
Barney's Big Bash - A fantastic gala evening
Well what a night. We always knew it was going to be good but I don't even think the organisers realised how big a success it was going to be. Worthing's Assembly Hall was packed with people who enjoyed a full evening of music from ourselves, the Giocoso Quartet and the excellent Phoenix Big Band.
The charity auction alone raised around £2500 for St Barnabas and Chestnut Tree House plus there was a tombola, roulette, black jack and lots, lots more. Find out more on the Barneys Big Band Bash webpage where there are loads of pictures.
Our next public engagement is ...
20th Birthday Concert
To celebrate our 2 decades of music making, we're putting on a free concert for our fantastic fans. It's ticketted to keep an eye on numbers but get them soon.

Chairman of Arun District Council:-
I just wanted to write to thank you for inviting me to your 18th Birthday Concert which was held on 22nd April 2006. Please again pass on my congratulations to John Wyatt and the rest of the band for achieving this milestone and here is to the next 18 years.
As usual the concert was superb and I know that although Wendy was very nervous about playing in public for the first time, it was a wonderful experience for her.
Keep up the wonderful work that you are doing which is all for the benefit of the local community.
Tony Squires

Just a note to say how much Diane and I enjoyed the 18th Birthday Concert at Rustington yesterday evening. It was very well laid on and very welcoming.

The council would like to thank you, and the Members of the Littlehampton Concert Band, most sincerely for the inestimable contribution the Band, once again, made to the success of the Annual Community Carol Concert.
The Carol Concert, as you know, is thoroughly enjoyed each year by the many members of the local community who attend, and December's Concert was most certainly an overwhelming success.
Once again, thank you for your continuing support and assistance - it would definitely not be the same without you!
Carole Ward - Clerk of the Council
