Who are we?
The Littlehampton Concert Band is a local community Band serving Littlehampton and the surrounding area. The aim of the band is to make music in a fun and interactive way and we enjoy putting on concerts and playing at a number of events around West Sussex.
The key to the band's achievement is the fun, interactive approach that it has towards music. There is no set standard and the only thing they ask is that the members simply try their best and have fun in the process. As a result, the band has a wide variety of members of all ages and standards. More experienced musicians get to try some challenging music and the less experienced members have a great time developing their skills and learning from their colleagues.
In recent years, the band has started heading out into the wide world and now regularly puts on trips to perform (and have a good time) in other countries such as France and Germany.
The band also enjoys an active social scene with regular events such as bowling, meals out, trips to musicals and parties. This makes for a great atmosphere and helps promote a real sense of community spirit.

Where to find us?
The band meets at St Mary's Church Hall (adjacent to the church), Church Street, Littlehampton.
There is plenty of parking along Church Street itself or alternatively, there is a car-park behind the church. If coming by train, we are only about 10 minutes walk from Littlehampton Train Station.

When do we meet?
We meet every Thursday evening from 7:30pm until 9:30pm including a break for a cuppa in the middle.
There is also an early session from 6:30pm to help beginners and those that wish to work more slowly on some of the music. Ideal for that bit of extra practice!
For the rehearsal dates for this year, please see our rehearsals page.
What do we play?
The band has a wide range of music in it's repertoire and we pride ourselves on playing something for everybody, including marches, fanfares, medleys and a lot of well known themes from films, television and west-end shows.
The music we play is of varying standard so that there is plenty of enjoyment for the beginner and experienced musician alike.
Why not have a look through our library to see what music we have. Just click this link to see our current library.
How much does it cost?
As we are a community band there is a small subscription, payable every term. Among other things, this charge covers rent of the rehearsal venue and insurance costs. The cost is only:-
Individual membership for over 18's = £10 per term
Individual membership for 11 - 18's = £7 per term
Family membership = £15 per term
